Two weeks ago, over 70 people from across the diocese met in Whanganui to take part in a Diocesan Pastoral Day unlike any other!
These days are usually rather formal affairs, but the Diocesan Young Catholics team in charge decided to give the attendees an experience of a ‘youth retreat day’ filled with games, small group discussions, short engaging talks, and a time of adoration.
The day was looking at how young people encounter Jesus and live their faith – and ways that their experience can transform our communities. More info on this day will be in WelCom’s April edition.
A massive thank you goes out to Issy McCafferty and Kevin Shore, our guest speakers, and to all who attended from our schools, parishes and other communities.
How are the committed lives and experiences of faithful young people challenging your community to grow in authentic living, intentional relationships, and radical faith?
