Hunterville woman and Rangitikei parishioner Maureen Fenton has been awarded the New Zealand Returned Services Association (NZRSA) Merit certificate, one of the highest awards given within RSA.
RSA members gathered for the special award ceremony in October to honour Maureen along with other Hunterville RSA stalwarts.
David Moger, Chief Executive of NZRSA, spoke and presented Maureen with her special award and a life membership of the Hunterville RSA. A member for 20 years, Maureen has served as president for six years and in other capacities and is currently treasurer and welfare officer. Maureen says, ‘It has been a pleasure to do all I have done for RSA.’
Maureen is a member of the Rangitikei parish of St Francis Xavier in Marton where she attends Mass.
