Kia ora tātou,
Good news for Dunedin!
Father Michael Dooley, the Vicar General of the Diocese, has been appointed the seventh Bishop of Dunedin.
Bishop-elect Michael has been an effective Vicar General and has exercised growing responsibility in the Diocese over the last couple of years. His broad pastoral experience and love of the southern part of our nation will stand him in good stead for the role of Shepherd.
Bishop Colin is delighted with the appointment and now looks forward to the next phase of his ministry.
Please keep Bishop-elect Michael in your prayers as he prepares for his Ordination to the Episcopacy.
+Charles.
