Challenge 2000 is a Youth Development and Social Agency that provides a wide range of programmes, projects and services across the Wellington Region. Established in 1988, Challenge 2000 has been helping young people ever since.
One youth development programme we offer is the Gap Year project. Each year the programme provides a group of young adults, aged 17‒20, with a full-time opportunity to learn, serve and work with those on the peripheries of our society.
In partnership with the Society of Mary (Marists) we provide eight young leaders with a paid, challenging and rewarding year that changes their lives and puts them on an amazing career path and path for life!
