Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand Director, Julianne Hickey and Community Engagement Manager, Roger Ellis, with a cheque for $3100 from St Peter’s College in Palmerston North. St Peter’s students took part in the Caritas Challenge earlier this year and raised funds for our Pacific neighbours suffering from climate-change impacts. Ninety-six junior students and 30 senior leaders experienced a day of sleeping in cardboard boxes, eating simply and working through the night making items for sale. Funds raised will go directly to the people of Kiribati to support communities respond to challenges presented by climate-change effects.
