We seek a dynamic and motivated educator to take on this key leadership role within our Diocesan Office. The successful applicant will be passionate about Catholic Education, with a strong desire to support the staff and boards of Catholic Schools in their professional and faith formation, as well as to assist school communities in encouraging the participation of their families in parish life.

They will be a highly skilled communicator, with strong leadership skills, well organised, and able to prioritise, organise and manage multiple time demands. They need to be a committed team player working with and across Diocesan teams in a spirit of collaboration in the varying responsibilities of growing our faith communities.

The successful applicant will have delegated authority to act on behalf of the Bishop of Palmerston North in matters relating to Catholic primary and secondary schools of the Diocese including his proprietorial obligations under integration. The appointee will ensure that there is planning and resourcing in place to provide high quality services and programmes to support Catholic education.

The position requires regular travel throughout the diocese. All members of the Diocesan team are united in working towards the implementation of the Bishop’s pastoral priorities for the Diocese.
