On Sunday 18th Feb 2018 the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit will host a commemoration mass for the Dominican Sisters.
These celebrations signal the closure of the Dominican Sisters presence in the Palmerston North diocese after 75 years of dedicated work.
Sr. Maureen O’Hanlon OP, the last active Dominican involved in Catholic Deaf Ministry, will be retiring to Dunedin.
We hope many ex-pupils, teachers, staff, parents, priests, bishops, as well as those who have been involved with the Catholic Deaf over all the years, will join us in thanksgiving on this wonderful occasion as we farewell the Dominican Congregation from the Palmerston North diocese.
